What to Expect, Step by Step
From the first conversation through installation and final walkthrough, we keep the process straightforward so you know what to expect at each stage.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Understanding Your Project
Every project starts with a conversation. We’ll talk through your goals, style preferences, how you use the space, your timeline, budget expectations, and any specific needs for the project.
Timeline: 1–2 hours | Cost: By request
Step 2: Design & Proposal
Turning Ideas Into a Plan
After the consultation, we put together a proposal with design direction, pricing, material and finish selections, and a projected timeline. For more involved projects, that may also include drawings or renderings. Then we review everything together and refine details before moving forward.
Timeline: 1–2 weeks | Investment: Design fee applied to the project if you move forward
Step 3: Material Selection & Ordering
Getting Everything in Motion
Once the design is approved and the contract is signed, we finalize materials and place orders. We’ll keep you updated on lead times, scheduling, and the next phase of the project.
Timeline: Materials are typically ordered within 1 week of contract signing
Step 4: Production
Where the Work Gets Real
This is where your project starts taking shape. In our shop, we cut and prepare components, build cabinet boxes, apply finishes, install hardware, and make the adjustments that bring everything together. We take our time where it matters so the finished product looks right and performs well.
Timeline: Production typically begins within 2 weeks of contract approval; most projects take 4–6 weeks depending on scope
Step 5: Installation
Bringing It All Together
Installation is where the planning pays off. We protect the space, set cabinets carefully, make final adjustments, and leave the project clean and ready for the next step.
Timeline: 1–3 days depending on project scope
Step 6: Final Walkthrough
Final Details and Sign-Off
Before we wrap up, we walk through the finished project with you, take care of any final adjustments, and go over care and maintenance so you know what to expect long term.
