Common Questions

How long does a typical project take?

Most projects take 6-8 weeks from contract signing to final installation. This includes design refinement, material selection, production, and installation. We build in buffer time to ensure quality over speed—no rushing, no compromises.

What’s included in the initial consultation?

The free consultation includes a detailed discussion of your vision, space assessment, material options, style preferences, and timeline expectations. We’ll provide honest feedback on feasibility and budget, and answer all your questions. No obligation, no pressure.

Can you work with my designer?

Absolutely. We love collaborating with designers. Many of our projects come through design partnerships. We provide detailed specifications, material samples, and seamless communication throughout the project. Designers appreciate working directly with the craftsman.

What wood species do you recommend?

White oak and maple are our most popular choices for durability and versatility. White oak is excellent for stained finishes and coastal homes (salt-resistant). Maple works beautifully with paint. We can source any species on request. We’ll recommend based on your design, climate, and maintenance preferences.

Do you offer custom finishes?

Yes. We specialize in custom finishes including faux finishes, specialty paints, glazing, and premium polyurethanes. If you can envision it, we can build it. We’ll provide samples and mockups before production to ensure you’re 100% satisfied.

What’s your warranty coverage?

Every project includes a lifetime workmanship warranty for the original purchaser. This covers craftsmanship, joinery, and construction quality. Hardware is covered by manufacturer warranty; labor for replacement is charged separately. This is our promise that we stand behind our work.

How much does custom cabinetry cost?

Custom cabinetry pricing varies based on scope, materials, finishes, and complexity. Typical projects range from $60k-$120k. We provide detailed estimates after the consultation. We’re transparent about pricing—no hidden fees, no surprises. Quality costs more, but it lasts longer.

Do you handle installation?

Yes. Installation is handled in-house by our team. We manage all details—site prep, installation, finishing touches, and final walkthrough. You’ll have direct communication with Ben throughout the entire process.

Can you work with my existing countertops?

Yes. We design cabinetry to work seamlessly with your existing or new countertops. We coordinate measurements, cutouts, and finishes to ensure perfect integration. If you need countertop recommendations, we’re happy to suggest trusted partners.

What if I need to make changes during the project?

We build in a design phase specifically for refinement. Once production starts, changes become more costly and time-consuming. We’ll discuss any modifications upfront and provide updated timelines and pricing. Clear communication prevents surprises.
